The Yamato Nihonto samurai sword making tradition is considered to be the oldest Japanese forging method. The blade is forged with a hard high carbon premium quality steel core sandwiched between a softer premium steel that is hand folded with 1024 layer. The Thaitsuki sanmai forged swords are among the upper echelon of Samurai swords for the discriminating sword collector. Silver fittings with a dragonfly motif as well as premium black Japanese silk over black stingray skin wrapped tsuka round out this stunning katana.
